Abstract

This case study investigates how the lack of consolidated knowledge management practices impacts the institutional maturity of the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) and how the knowledge management diagnosis can contribute to overcoming these challenges. The general objective is to discuss the relevance of the applicability of the knowledge management diagnosis in the MPF as a tool designed to support the search for maturity in institutional knowledge management. The research adopts a deductive methodology, associated with the bibliographic review and the qualitative analysis of the data extracted from the results of the 1st. Knowledge Management Diagnosis of the MPF, carried out in 2022. The results of the study show that the lack of knowledge management mechanisms has a direct implication on the development of institutional maturity in this area. It is concluded that the knowledge management diagnosis constitutes a fundamental tool for identifying the elements that affect the agency's level of maturity and, consequently, for planning actions that aim to overcome the challenges encountered and promote the maturation of knowledge management in the MPF.
