Author Guidelines

Submissions must have 20 pages and must contain the following items:

Title: Should have no more than 20 words, including the subheading (if any). The title in the original language of the article should be written in Times New Roman font, size 14, highlighted in bold, and in centralized alignment. Titles in other languages should be written in Times New Roman font, size 14, italicized, also centered. The title and the subheading of the article should only have the first letter of each phrase capitalized, except in cases where the use of capitalization is mandatory.

Abstract: Should be concise (up to 150 words each), written in a single paragraph, highlighting the objective, the main subject of the article, the used methodology, and the main conclusions. The enumeration of topics should not be used in this item.

Keywords: Up to six terms that classify the work with adequate precision for its indexation, separated by semicolons.

Summary: Must display only the number and name of the main sections that compose the article.

Presentation of the text: The text must be typing in Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing, and justified paragraphs should be used. Citations, footnotes, references, and figure descriptions should be per ABNT standards. The space in the first line of paragraphs should be 1.25 cm. The page setup should be A4  with top and left margins of 3 cm and bottom and right margins of 2 cm.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • Language: Articles in Portuguese and in a foreign language will be accepted, accompanied by their respective translation into Portuguese.
  • File format: The submission must be sent in Microsoft Word format.

By submitting the academic text,  the authors declare that they are the copyright holders, authorizing its publication by ESMPU, free of charge and without limitations as to term, territory or any other. The license is Creative Commons - Attribution 4.0 Internacional CC BY-NC 4.0.

In addition, they also authorize the journal to adapt the works to its publication formats and to make text  grammatical adjustments.
